FILE INFO | Caption | The sage Narada Muni, anxious to facilitate the Lord's pastimes, went to speak to King Kamsa. Narada told Kamsa that the girl child he had thought to be born to Devaki and Vasudeva was actually the daughter of Yashoda; and Krishna was in fact the child of Vasudeva and Devaki. This information implied to Kamsa that the prophecy of his death should be taken very seriously. Hearing this, Kamsa became furious. He picked up a sharp sword, wanting to kill Vasudeva. Narada restrained him, reminding him that it was the sons of Vasudeva he needed fear. In this way, Narada helped arrange for Kamsa's death at Krishna's hands. Following this meeting with Narada, Kamsa quickly arranged for the wrestling match. | Headline | Narada Muni Visits Kamsa | Copyright Notice | © Copyright The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.
