FILE INFO | Caption | Having received the message from Rukmini with the scheduled day of her marriage ceremony to Shishupala, Krishna immediately left for Vidarbha. Rukmini's only desire was to marry Krishna and Krishna was also eager to marry her. Thousands of guests had arrived for the marriage and a large gathering of military divisions had arrived with Shishupala's father, prepared to fight Krishna if He tried to take Rukmini away. When Rukmini came outside she happened to look up at the princes gathered around and saw Krishna amongst them. Although she had never seen Krishna before, she was always absorbed in thoughts of Him, and recognized Him right away. Krishna immediately took this opportunity to place Rukmini on His chariot, and rode forward without fear. -Taken from Krishna, The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Chapter 53
