FILE INFO
CaptionLord Krishna sat down on the ground near a pippala tree and exhibited His brilliantly effulgent four-armed form. His complexion was like a dark blue cloud and His effulgence was the color of molten gold. He had attractive lotus eyes, shark-shaped earrings and a beautiful smile on His lotus face. Locks of dark blue hair adorned His head, and He wore bracelets, jewels, necklaces, and flower garlands. Encircling His body were His personal weapons in their embodied forms. The Lord sat with His left foot, with its lotus-red sole, on His right thigh. Just then, a hunter named Jara mistook the Lord's foot for the face of a deer and pierced it with an arrow. Then, seeing the four-armed personality, Jara immediately recognized his mistake. He fell down at the feet of Lord Krishna, and asked to be killed for his offense. The Supreme Personality of Godhead replied that actually this had taken place due to His own desire, and He sent Jara to Vaikuntha.
