FILE INFO
CaptionAs Krishna and Balarama entered Mathura, the residents of the city stopped what they were doing and rushed to see Them. Some of the ladies put their clothes and ornaments on backwards, or put makeup on one eye and not the other. A weaver approached Them and, feeling affection for the Lords, he nicely adorned Them with cloth ornaments of various colors. Krishna and Balarama resembled a pair of young elephants; one white and the other black, decorated for a festive occasion. Krishna and Balarama then went to the house of the garland-maker, Sudama. Sudama worshiped Them and Their companions, the cowherd boys. After offering some nice prayers, Sudama could understand what They wanted; and he gave Them beautiful garlands of fresh, fragrant flowers. Krishna and Balarama continued on Their way down the King's road.
