FILE INFO | Caption | Once King Prthu initiated the performance of a great sacrifice. All the saintly sages, brahmanas, saintly kings, and demigods from higher planetary systems were assembled together. Maharaja Prthu first of all worshiped all the respectable visitors. As he prepared to perform the sacrifice, King Prthu glanced over the members of the assembly with eyes that appeared like stars in a sky, wet with dew. He then spoke to them in a great voice, wishing them all good fortune and giving them the proper instructions for their own well-being. After his speaking, all the saintly brahmanas blessed Prthu Maharaja and glorified his devotion to the Supreme Personality of Godhead. At that time, the four Kumaras, who were as bright as the sun, arrived. The king recognized them immediately and was anxious to receive them. Prthu Maharaja hastily got up and offered them seats. The king bowed down and worshiped the four Kumaras. The King washed their lotus feet and sprinkled the water over his hair. By such respectful actions, King Prthu showed the example of how to receive spiritually advanced personalities. | Headline | Prthu and Four Kumaras | Copyright Notice | © Copyright The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International, Inc.
