FILE INFO
CaptionIn the last eighteen years of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's presence on this earth, described in the Antya-lila of Chaitanya-caritamrita, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu drifted deeper and deeper into trances of spiritual ecstasy. One one occasion, in only half-external consciousness and speaking to the sky like a madman, Lord Chaitanya said,"Seeing the River Yamuna, I went to Vrndavana. There I saw the son of Nanda Maharaja (Krishna) performing His sporting pastimes in the water. Lord Krishna was in the water of the Yamuna in the company of the gopis, headed by Srimati Radharani. They were performing pastimes in a great sporting manner. I saw this pastime as I stood on the bank of the Yamuna in the company of the gopis. One gopi was showing some other gopis the pastimes of Radha and Krishna in the water."
-Excerpt from Chaitanya-caritamrita, Antya-lila 18.80-82
