|Caption||The devotees looked everywhere for Lord Chaitanya. They were overwhelmed with feelings of separation and were very morose, but continued searching. Passing along the beach, they saw a fisherman. The fisherman was laughing, crying, singing and dancing, and he kept repeating the holy name, "Hari, Hari." Svarupa Damodara asked the fisherman what had happened, why he was behaving in this way. The fisherman told them that he had caught a corpse in his net. When he tried to release the net, he touched the body and immediately a ghost entered his heart. His voice faltered and the hairs on his body stood on end. The fisherman was very afraid.|
Svarupa Damodara said, "My dear sir, the person whom you are thinking a ghost is not actually a ghost but the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Because of ecstatic love, the Lord fell into the sea, and you have caught Him in your net and rescued Him. Simply touching Him has awakened your dormant love of Krishna, but because you thought Him a ghost, you were very much afraid of Him. Now that your fear has gone and your mind is peaceful, please show me where He is."
